Tuesday 2 January
On day 2 of the new year, we make the very last preparations for filming! The letter J, symbolising the first letter of the ship's log of Hof van Zeeland's very first slave voyage, is painted onto the film studio floor in chroma key paint. Ömür Sönmez, the VFX artist, will make this letter as identical as possible to the original letter in post-production.
